Media Release

Photo, Video & Media Release Agreement

Please read this agreement carefully before submitting your performance entry.

By submitting an application to participate in Rockwall Talent Live! ("Event"), I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the following terms.

1. Grant of Permission

I hereby grant Rockwall Talent Live!, the Rockwall Rotary Foundation, the Event organizers, sponsors, affiliates, volunteers, and their authorized representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") the irrevocable right and permission to photograph, videotape, audio record, livestream (if applicable), and otherwise capture my image, likeness, voice, name, performance, and biographical information during activities related to Rockwall Talent Live!.

I understand that photographs and recordings may be taken before, during, and after the Event.

2. Authorized Uses

I authorize the Released Parties to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, display, edit, modify, crop, combine with other materials, or otherwise use such photographs, videos, audio recordings, and other media, in whole or in part, for lawful purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Event promotion
  • Future Rockwall Talent Live! marketing
  • Rockwall Rotary Foundation marketing
  • Websites
  • Social media platforms
  • Digital advertising
  • Printed marketing materials
  • Newsletters
  • Press releases
  • Event recaps
  • Sponsor recognition materials
  • Educational or informational publications
  • Other promotional or archival purposes

These materials may be used in any media format now existing or developed in the future.

3. No Compensation

I understand and agree that I will not receive compensation, royalties, licensing fees, or any other payment for the use of my name, image, likeness, voice, or performance.

4. Ownership

I acknowledge that all photographs, videos, recordings, and other media created by or on behalf of Rockwall Talent Live! shall remain the sole property of the Event and/or its authorized representatives.

5. No Approval Rights

I waive any right to inspect, review, or approve any finished photographs, videos, publications, advertisements, promotional materials, or other uses in which my likeness or performance may appear.

6. Original Performance

I understand that this Media Release does not transfer ownership of my performance or any original intellectual property I may own. This agreement grants permission only for the Event to record and use images, video, and audio of my participation for promotional, educational, historical, and marketing purposes.

7. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and discharge the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, or causes of action arising from or relating to the creation, publication, distribution, or use of photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, or other media authorized under this Agreement, including any claims relating to privacy, publicity, defamation, or emotional distress, except where prohibited by applicable law.

8. Parent or Legal Guardian Consent

If the participant is under eighteen (18) years of age, the undersigned parent or legal guardian represents and warrants that:

  • They are the legal parent or guardian of the participant;
  • They have full authority to execute this Agreement on behalf of the minor;
  • They consent to the minor's participation in Rockwall Talent Live!;
  • They grant all permissions described in this Agreement on behalf of the minor participant.

9. Revocation

I understand that photographs, videos, and other promotional materials may be distributed publicly and that, once published, it may not be possible to remove all copies from circulation. Accordingly, this permission is intended to be perpetual and irrevocable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.

11. Acknowledgement

By submitting my performance application electronically, I acknowledge that:

  • I have carefully read this Media Release Agreement.
  • I understand its contents.
  • I voluntarily agree to its terms.
  • I certify that all information submitted is accurate.
  • I understand this electronic acknowledgement has the same legal effect as my handwritten signature.
